Update: Fleet Orders, Hyperspace Travel & Asteroid Mining 26/08/2026 21:18:20

Commanders of Stellar-Universe,

A major update to fleet command has landed, reworking how you move, fight, and gather resources across the galaxy.

Order Panel
Select a fleet and a dedicated orders panel now appears at your fingertips, showing only the actions actually available to it - moving, attacking, defending, or hauling cargo - based on what it has equipped. Right-click any fleet, planet, or asteroid field for a contextual menu with the same orders, right where you clicked.

Hyperspace vs Sub-Light Travel
Speed now means something. Fleets without a Hyperspace Drive module travel at a slow sub-light pace between systems - no more crossing the galaxy in seconds. Equip a Hyperspace Drive and toggle hyperspace on or off for each jump: hyperspace is fast but burns crystal drawn straight from your fleet's cargo hold, and if you don't have enough, your fleet automatically falls back to a free sub-light trip instead of blocking the order.

Asteroids to Mine
Asteroid fields now dot the systems of the galaxy, each holding a finite reserve of mineral and crystal. Send a fleet to harvest one and fill its cargo holds, then deposit the haul on one of your planets - or withdraw resources from a planet to fund your next hyperspace jump or restock a distant outpost. Deposits and withdrawals now let you pick exactly how much of each resource to move.

Cargo Hauling Between Planets
Fleets can ferry mineral and crystal between two of your own planets: load up at one, unload at another, no third party required.

Live Order Status
The orders panel now shows your fleet's current order in real time - "en route to..." or "engaged in combat" - along with a countdown to arrival or the end of the battle.

Tactical Combat Fixes
Several long-standing bugs in ship-to-ship combat have been fixed, including attacks against enemy fleets sitting in open space that previously did nothing.

Fly safe, Commanders.
